Supporting will be Jonny Telafone and Old Ace with more to be announced.

Sydney’s most talked about band Circle Pit will make their debut in Canberra at the Crossroads this Thursday. Promoting their new album “Bruise Constellation”, androgynous front man Jack Mannix and soulmate Angie Bermuda promise to bring spectacle to the capital burbs. After surfing on a wave of hype and publicity it will be great to see the band doing what they do best.
Joining them will be Teddy Trouble, playing their last show before an indefinite hiatus, and TV Colours, who will be making a special trip down from Sydney for a solo show after finishing his 7 inch to be released next month. Check the video for TV Colours joined by Assassins 88 at Black Wire last weekend.
Readymen »

Here is the new collaboration from the guitarists of Teddy Trouble and Emerald Cities called Readymen. With subtle hints of dark folk and early 60s pop, the two have woven their styles into something both warm and unsettling. The dueling guitars and chilling chorus make this one of the more interesting things to come from Canberra in a while. Plan on seeing more of these guys as I hear they are working on a live show and will be playing soon.

Formed from members of Golden Buoy and The Fighting League, Teddy Trouble’s distinctive sound with blaring twelve string guitars and space echo on the bass are some of the best jams out. They’re back after a summer break to play shows and hopefully record an album, I managed to find these two early demos – I don’t even know the proper titles – so i’ll let you decide.
