Post-punk jams with blaring electronics echo a psychedelic trip into some quasi Mad Max territory. Possessed by Someone Else haunting melodic drone is as baron and melancholy as any post-apocalyptic dream, and like the release itself, ends way too short.

Brendan Dwyer »

Brendan Dwyer

Brendan Dwyer is a local Canberra musician who as well as being as being a great sound engineer, is an equally great musician. The opening track Santa’s Big Red Lap lends itself to any classic 90s grunge anthem, but also reminds me a little bit of some heavier Nick Cave. Maybe this is because Brendan can sometimes look like Nick Cave (or maybe I’m crazy). Either way these are some well crafted songs that wouldn’t be out of place on any “Sub Pop” compilation tape.
