This Saturday night at Smiths Alternative Bookstore Zack Kouns (US) will be playing his unique brand of avant garde folk. He has been touring the country alongside Alps (Newcastle) and this is the last night of their tour. This is the last official Dream Damage related event for at least four months so come early and celebrate. Local supports are Cat Cat and Brother Gozu.

Zack Kouns will be touring the country with Alps as support over the next few weeks. They will be ending the tour in Canberra at Smiths Alternative Bookstore on Saturday the 31st so come along and pick up a copy of the tour 7″.

Joining them will be Teddy Trouble, playing their last show before an indefinite hiatus, and TV Colours, who will be making a special trip down from Sydney for a solo show after finishing his 7 inch to be released next month. This weekend Assassins 88 and Fighting League are heading up the coast to play shows in Newcastle and Sydney. Friday night they’re in Newcastle at The Croatian Club playing with Honest Thieves and Stitched Vision. On Saturday they’re at Black Wire Records with Bitch Prefect and Bed Wettin Bad Boys. Also, ASS ASS INS bassist Lachlan will be on FBI Radio Thursday night promoting his new Danger Beach album (there will be copies available at shows). Come and party!

Waterford are preparing to launch their new album next month. Mixed by Bruce Callaway (previously of The Saints), the first single London, England is now available for free download via Birds Love Fighting. This is the first of many releases soon to come out on the Canberra label with Killing Birds, From the South and Cat Cat all having new material ready to be pressed over the next few months. The future looks promising for Birds Love Fighting with Electric Lake 2 also going ahead in October.
