Summer of Spheres is the latest EP release from Canberra’s Reuben Ingall. With both new and old tracks mixing sparse acoustic guitar and washed out vocals all processed and delayed into something beautiful. Recorded live over the last two years at different shows, it can be downloaded for free from his Bandcamp now. Reuban has also been collaborating with Paul Heslin on a split EP called Eden Again which will be released on VHS(!) in the coming weeks. Canberra launch info here.

Canberra musician Reuben Ingall recently recorded an amazing cover of the Golden Buoy track Free For the Afternoon. Golden Buoy were a Canberra band who disbanded in 2007 soon after releasing their debut EP. I know Assassins used to play it live but its really great to hear a new recorded version.
In related news, Dream Damage will soon be releasing a “redux” digital edition of the Golden Buoy EP with two recently uncovered live tracks. Nostalgia binge.
